This Fall in Chicago: 'Chez Kids Academy'

Thursday, October 13, 2005

A variety of special children’s classes and activities are offered at Chez Kids Academy, which opened at the Alliance Française de Chicago in January 2005.

Some of these classes have been designed for tots and youngsters like "French Moms, Pops and Tots/Youngsters" classes, which the whole family can enjoy. These classes are for ages 1-2.5 years (Tots) and 3-5 years (Youngsters).

Hands-on Interactive French class for ages 5-7.5 years combines creativity, through fun activities, with communication. In this friendly and stimulating environment, children will be able to speak creatively in French through mini dialogues and songs.

Another popular course for youngsters ages 8-12, called "First Steps into French," is a systematic approach of French language and culture.

"Chez Kids Academy' finally offers an impressive range of special events for children of all ages : cine-clubs, story-tellings (some in partnership with the Cervantes Institute of Chicago), day-camps, family cooking classes, a Christmas Special (including a concert, workshops, a bingo and snacks), and a Medieval Fair in February.
