Cultural programmation 2006-2007 - Updates
Friday, May 12, 2006
Dear Friends,
Here is an update to our last AF en Bref issue on April 3.
By browsing through our catalogue of lecturers on our website you will see that we now have all the information concerning French speakers Georges Ifrah and Hugues Lagrange.
Plantu has confirmed that he will be touring the south of the US between January 16 and February 3, 2007. However, Dominique Wolton has informed us that he will not be available for the fall, but that he will let us know as soon as he can when he will be coming in the first semester of 2007.
Please kindly note that should you wish to invite a WACA speaker, you can do so without necessarily copresenting with a WACA chapter. However, if there happens to be WACA chapters in your cities, we suggest you contact their representatives to cohost the presentation and then share the expenses. There are no synopses for these speakers’lectures, as they will be dealing with the latest developments in current affairs.
The deadline for registration for any event of the 2006-2007 season is May 31.
The registration, confirmation and organization procedures are available in our April 3 issue of L’AF en bref, which you will find on our website.
Registrations will not be accepted past this date, and will only be processed upon reception of deposit checks.
Charlotte Arnaud - who has been working with us on cultural matters throughout the 2005-2006 season- will be leaving Washington in the early part of June.
Her replacement, Yacine Kouhen, has been with us since late April. He will be working at the Delegation generale the whole summer until the end of September, organizing the events for the fall.
Do not hesitate to call the « cultural team » at the Délégation générale if you have any queries concerning the upcoming season.
We look forward to hearing from you…
Bien cordialement à toutes et à tous,
Thierry Lagnau
Délégué général adjoint
