Project Benjamin
Alliance Française Virtual Library

"Project Benjamin" is an initiative to support the Allliance Française network in the United States as concerns their information needs relative to contemporary France.

Proposed by the Library of the French Institute Alliance Française in New York, the project has for mission to share its resources with each American Alliance Française chapter, no matter its size or membership. Participation in the Project is open to all members of Alliance Française chapters in the United States.

The Project comprises 2 levels of service:

  • Services for Alliance Française members: comprising a virtual information service, book loans and FAQ from the Library of the French Institute Alliance Française in New York
  • Services for Alliance Française directors and staff: for advisement on how to run an AF media library, theme-based collections and donation program.
